On July 29, 2015, Windows 10 will be released. This is a huge update that will allow universal applications on all devices: Devices + loT, Mobile, PC, Xbox, Surface Hub, and HoloLens.

The success of the Windows Store for the Windows 8 Platform is nothing to brag about. Developers just didn’t see much interest writing applications for this, but Windows 10 changes all of that. They simply can develop one desktop application, and make the application accessible with a simple click on all devices with Windows 10 installed. That is HUGE news for the Windows Phone!

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella discussed the future of the Windows Phone at the Worldwide Partner Conference. He stated, “If no OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) stands up to build Windows devices we’ll build them.” Therefore, the Windows Phone is here to stay.

This means it’s high time you got a new woman in your life, and that woman is Cortana.

Cortana already resides happily in the Windows Phone. She is brilliant, funny and a great assistant. She also works wonderfully with the Microsoft Health Band. Currently with Windows Phone 8.1, Cortana can assist you with many things like setting appointments, replying to messages or taking notes all by voice command through your MS Band. Personally, I have Cortana assist me with multiple tasks throughout the day without even picking up my phone. She is an incredible time saver.

Some good news, you can go pick up a Windows Phone 8.1 today, and when Windows 10 is released, you can simply get it for free as if it were an update. Windows 10 is going to allows for notifications to pan across all your devices, so life will be much more efficient utilizing this Holy Trinity of Technology.
